WIND Mobile Launching BlackBerry Bold 9780 Soon?

BGRs WIND Mobile Inventory Scrnsht WIND Mobile Launching BlackBerry Bold 9780 Soon?

WIND Mobile has been gaining momentum in Canada as a major player in the new entrant race, and have been launching a variety of devices for all types of users. As far as BlackBerrys go, we’ve seen them launch the Bold 9700, Pearl 3G, and Curve 3G, unfortunately leaving out the new OS 6 devices. According to an internal inventory screenshot, however, the Bold 9780 is on it’s way to WIND Mobile sometime soon.

No word yet on exactly when the device will launch on WIND, but speculation is pointing to early or mid-January. Pricing on the device is also yet to be confirmed, but the device should be available for outright purchases or using the new WINDtab system.

In case you’ve missed previous posts about the 9780, it runs BlackBerry OS 6 out of the box, and has a 5MP camera, 512MB of RAM, and supports Wi-Fi, bluetooth, and GPS connectivity. Retaining the same shape as the Bold 9700, the 9780 has been a success in the BlackBerry market, and is easily the best device by RIM for those who don’t want to risk shorter battery life by going with the Torch 9800. Good move, WIND Mobile!
