AT&T: HSUPA-capable lineup will expand with future devices, updates to current models

By now, just about everyone is well aware that AT&T’s Android handsets, including its 4G phones like the Atrix and Inspire , don’t do HSUPA out of the box. It’s not that the hardware isn’t capable, it’s just that ATT doesn’t allow to them to achieve high upload speeds because of the way that the phones interact with their network. Ma Bell hasn’t really said much on the situation, but… Continue reading

In an announcement this morning, AT&T has pulled the curtain off their brand new tablet -centric, post-paid data plans. The new plans are, for all intents and purposes, almost exactly like their previous brethren in the prepaid variety, but have a few minor changes in place. One user has decided to try and do something about it by posting a complaint on Groubal, a site that lets consumers band together to issue complaints in an attempt to get the attention of a particular company. Zack Nebbaki, the creator of the… Continue reading

We’ve recently learned that both Wirefly and Let’s Talk will stop offering AT&T products and services next month. The reasons for the break-up between Ma Bell and the dealers aren’t totally clear, but Let’s Talk sent out the following note to… Continue reading

AT&T: HTC Inspire 4G isn’t capable of HSUPA

The HTC Inspire 4G has been available for around a week now, and while downloads on the device are just as speedy as expected, some users have noticed that upload rates aren’t quite what one might expect. The explanation? AT&T says that while the Inspire does feature HSDPA (high speed downloads) the handset simply isn’t HSUPA (high speed uploads) capable. While I’m sure that the lack of HSUPA on the… Continue reading
