Rogers Officially Announces Torch 9800 Launching September 24th for $199.99 on 3 Year Term [Update: Telus Launching Same Day]

While AT&T customers in the U.S. have had the Torch for a few weeks now, Canadians have been patiently waiting for an official launch date at the very least. Last week we let you know internal Futureshop screenshots show off a September 15th sale date, so our assumption is that it will be available for pre-order, or that the date has simply been pushed back. Along with the official announcement, RogersMiranda also posted a video showing off an interview she did with Michael McDowell, BlackBerry’s Director of Marketing, covering some of the changes the new device from RIM is bringing to the market. UPDATE: Telus has confirmed they will be launching the Torch 9800 on September 24th as well. No confirmation yet on pricing, but it will likely be $199 on a 3 year term as well.

No confirmation yet on when Bell plans to launch the device, but we should expect it right around the same time. Canadians, will you be picking up a Torch 9800 on launch day?
